Apple to Sue Catholic Church Over Slide to Unlock

Apple has sued the Catholic church to block use of its door unlocking system. According to Apple, many of the doors used by the church use slide to unlock technology, which is patented by the company in their iPod, iPhone, and iPad systems. This is a similar case to Google's Android law suit.

According to the complaint, which was filed in a California court earlier today, nobody is allowed to use a sliding motion in the unlocking process of anything - which is very different from a slide to lock use case. Other old style churches are said to be at risk of being sued. This is good news to modern door makers, since it is expected that close to a hundred million doors be replaced within the next 6 months due to Apple's aggressive slide to unlock patent protection.
